Nathan Winger
Principle, Attorney
Raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Nathan Winger built his practice around one core idea: serious cases deserve careful preparation, honest advice, and a lawyer willing to take responsibility for the outcome. His work is shaped by experience on both sides of the courtroom and an understanding of how high-stakes cases are evaluated, defended, and decided.
Nathan earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science with Honors from the University of New Mexico and his law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law. He began his career as an Assistant Prosecutor in Indianapolis, where he tried cases and learned to investigate facts, evaluate credibility, and present evidence to judges and juries with a fast moving caseload.
After returning home to New Mexico, Nathan continued prosecuting violent and white-collar crimes with the Second Judicial District Attorney’s Office in Albuquerque. He later moved into civil litigation, spending several years as staff counsel for an insurance company handling motorvehicle accidents, coverage disputes, and bad-faith claims. That experience gave him firsthand insight into how injury claims are analyzed and defended.
Today, Nathan represents individuals and families whose lives have been changed by catastrophic injury or wrongful death, while also continuing to represent insurers in complex coverage and liability matters. He approaches every case with focus and care, listening closely to clients, explaining options plainly, and preparing each matter as if it will be tried. His goal is accountability, sound outcomes, and results that reflect the full scope of what is at stake.
Nathan is known for personal attention, disciplined strategy, and a steady presence in difficult moments. He believes injured clients deserve not just advocacy, but clarity, honesty, and commitment from the lawyer they trust with their case.
